I chose this ring to commemorate my ordination to the Permanent Diaconate. The detail and workmanship of this ring is superb. I liked the simple, yet profoundly symbolic design. I wear it on the ring finger of my right hand, opposite the wedding ring on my left. They symbolize my two vocations and their priority in my life. The hammered finish spoke to me of the challenges of diaconal formation and service; silver–elegant, but always second to gold; the gold cross with stole symbolizes Christ the servant who inspires me. Finally, I wear it with the cross facing me as a perpetual reminder to me of my vocation, always leading the way. — Deacon Michael
